Track Time from Safari

The title says it all: you can now track time right from your Safari toolbar once you download our new extension. You can start/stop a timer, enter time, or see if a timer is running without having to fully open up Harvest in your browser.

Better yet, this extension will allow you track time right in Basecamp or Trello. Previously, you had to use Chrome to track time in these apps. Now, once you download the Safari extension, you’ll see timers appear right inside Trello and Basecamp so you’ll never have to leave your account to track time.

  • Awesome!!! What I have been waiting for!

  • Brandon Smith on May 3, 2016

    Hi there,
I downloaded the extension, installed it, logged in. Then Harvest said “you can close this window now”. So I do. Then I click the new button to log time and it says “you must be logged in” — endless cycle. Can’t seem to get it to work. Anyone else having these issues in the latest version of Safari?

Hi @Brandon, sorry for the trouble! Could you try restarting your browser after you sign in? If that doesn’t work, drop us a line at with a screenshot of what you’re seeing and we should be able to help further. Thanks!

  • Hi, this looks like a great initiative; although I’m struggling to get it up and running. I download the harvest_for_safari-2.3.8.safariextz, 2x-click, see Safari’s preferences extensions pane, click Trust, and … nada. The extension doesn’t appear in the pane’s listing of extensions, even after restarting Safari.

  • Do you plan to integrate it with other services besides Trello and Basecamp?

    • Curran Boomer on July 19, 2016

Hi Maven – Harvest integrates with lots of different services. Some of them require the Chrome/Safari extension, but most don’t. You can find a full list of our integrations here –
